Utility Vehicle Batteries
Battery powered utility vehicles work well in light duty
operations and transporting people. They are easy to operate and
really cut down on walking the grounds. Whether you're on a farm, an
estate, a college campus, or a convention center floor, you're sure
to find your utility vehicle indispensable for numerous tasks such
as hauling, mowing, and driving people from building to building.
Anytime a utility vehicle battery is stored, it discharges
itself, so fully recharge your battery before using it after it has
been stored. The rate of self-discharge varies with temperature.
When your batteries stop working for good, it's time to replace them
with newer, better technology--sealed batteries. Sealed AGM
batteries hold their charge much better than lead acid batteries, so
they run longer than older models.
If you want to keep your utility vehicle running smoothly,
purchase a good replacement battery for it. Don't worry about the
cost. New technology might seem more expensive at first, but it can
actually have a lower lifetime ownership cost than older batteries.
No Maintenance: Just Recharging
Charging utility vehicle batteries correctly will extend their
lives. Of course, all of our batteries come with a full 1-year
warranty against manufacturer defects. You can expect them to last
for 3-5 years. Charge new batteries completely before you use them
for the first time; this usually takes at least 12 hours. There is
no maintenance with sealed dry cell batteries, although they do need
to be recharged overnight.
